Abosultey the best fiilm of the year. With a wonderfully intersesting script and paced by two great performances, Shawshank is one of those rare films that make you think, "Why can’t every movie be this good". Based on a Stephan King story, it’s a powerful drama that should thrill even those who don’t usually go for prison films.

Nominated for 7 Oscars including Best Picture and Best Actor (Freeman).
